When twelve-year-old Tam is sent to work at a bear farm in the city, he has never felt so alone. He hates seeing the cruel way the bears are treated, but speaking up will mean losing his job. And if he can't send money home, how will his family survive? When a sick cub arrives at the farm, Tam secretly nurses it back to health and they develop an unbreakable bond. Tam swears to return his beloved cub to the wild, but how will they ever find a way to be free? Deeply moving and powerful, Moon Bear is an unforgettable story of compassion, hope, and bravery against overwhelming odds.

This book shows you how bad some bears are treated and it is a very emotional book. This book is fiction but has a few facts in it. My favourite character was Sook-dii (the bear) because he was brave and bonded with the boy (Tam).

I absolutely loved this book I can’t remember to much of it since I read it like 2 weeks ago but I did really enjoy it. I would say my favourite character is probably the baby bear sorry I’ve already forgotten his name I really loved the little missions they went on to look after the baby bear. It interested my because again the really great story and all the backgrounds of almost every character. I would 100% recommend this to another person.

I think this book was exiting and it had loads of entertainment in it and it was so funny about Bears that came out at night and when they did no one could see them because they were discising their self. Although it was quite sad at the end where the Moon Bears nearly got shot by a man who did not like Bears at all but, the reason the Bears were called Moon Bears because they came out at Midnight when the Moon was up.
