Kirsty and Rachel meet on Rainspell Island and discover a magical pot at the end of a rainbow. Inside, they find Ruby the Red Fairy, who tells them that Jack Frost has banished her and her six sisters from Fairyland, turning it gray. Kirsty and Rachel must help Ruby find her sisters to restore color to Fairyland.

I like Ruby the red fairy book because Rachel and Kirsty help to find the rest of the rainbow fairies because Jack Frost cast a spell that made them all go somewhere on Rainspell island and the queen cast a spell as well for them to all be in the same place in a pot but Jack Frost's spell was stronger. I'm looking forward to reading Amber the Orange fairy next.
