I have enjoyed this book because Smuggler's Top is a very interesting place and the house that they live in has many secret passage ways. My favourite character is Timmy (the dog) because he saves the childrens lives quite often. I would recommend it to a person who never stops trying just like the character in the book George.

The best of the series so far! I love all the secret passageways.

This book is in a series of twenty one books based on five children: Anne, Georgina(who won’t respond unless she is called Gorge),Dick, Julian and George’s dog Timmy. They get together to solve mysteries, can they solve this one? The five have another mystery can they solve it? The five are going to smuggler’s top where there are lots of secret tunnels under ground. But when the boy they are staying with and George’s father vanishes the five are sore something is wrong. My favourite character is Anne as she is quiet, kind and helpful as well as being able to be a tiger when she wants to. Can the five solve the mystery or will it remain unsolved… I would certainly recommend this as it is well thought out, light hearted and fun.

This book is really tense and scary. I would not want to be trapped in those tunnels, ever. Too scary but thankfully the children had Timmy. I was worried that Timmy might get poisoned by Block. He was nasty to the dog and the children but I guessed that he could really hear. What a mean trick. I like all the children but I liked Sooty too. His sister was scared all the time! You must read it!

I liked the bit when the roof at Kirrin cottage was hit by a tree.

The Famous Five are sent off to live in a house called Smuggler's Top because an ash tree had fallen on the roof of Kirrin Cottage. Their friend Sooty (who is really called Pierre) and his sister Marybelle live at Smuggler's Top. At first, it seems a peaceful holiday, but the discovery of a light flashing from a tower turns the holiday into an adventure. Sooty and Uncle Quentin are kidnapped by a smuggler called Mr. Barling and the Famous Five have to rescue them and catch the culprits.

Action packed, lots of fun and adventure, unexpected twists!

I like Timothy the dog best because he growls whenever he hears something unusual and he obeys every thing the children asks him to do. Yes,I would recommend this book to my friends or my sister.

Do you like adventurous books? Do you like mystery books? Do you like Enid Blyton books? Well, if you do, Five go to Smuggler’s Top is just right for you. I read and enjoyed this book. It is about the five (Julian, Dick George, Anne and Timmy the dog) going to a hill where smugglers used to smuggle goods in from abroad, finding the marshy surroundings very useful. There is still a smuggler there! MR BARLING! Soon George’s scientist father comes along too - before being kidnapped along with Sooty (his real name is Pierre Lenoir). It is a fictional and my favourite characters are: Sooty; Marybelle (Sooty’s sister); Timmy; George; Anne; Dick; Julian.

This book was funny and scary but really exciting and fun
General Gargoyle Eragon 28.07.2020

This book was exciting when the five went through all the secret passages in Smuggler's Top and when two people go missing...
Princess Harmonica Stegosaurus 21.07.2020

I liked all the secret passages underground. And I also liked the hill because I liked that it was on top of the marsh so it was a kind of island.
Sergeant Octopus Sausage-Roll 15.07.2020

I like when Timmy hides
Princess Pixie Anteater 01.07.2020

I think it was very well structured with lots of twists. My favourite character was Anne because she reminded me of myself. My favourite part was when Timmy found the smugglers.
