The author of children’s classic ‘Ballet Shoes’ delights with a best-loved story of ice skating rivalry…

“If you pass your inter-silver, I’ll tell Aunt Claudia that I don’t want to work with you any more.” Harriet is told that she must take up ice-skating in order to improve her health. She isn’t much good at it, until she meets Lalla Moore, a young skating star. Now Harriet is getting better and better on the ice, and Lalla doesn’t like it. Does Harriet want to save their friendship more than she wants to skate?

I like how Harriet chooses friendship rather than being famous. I really like how the book tells you what she is doing almost every minute.

I loved this book! If i could, i would give it more than 5. It's a brilliant story about an ice skater who finds a friend and I didn't want to put it down. Its a real page turner and ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed reading this book and would love to read one of his other books called Ballet Shoes and I love dancing and think i would really enjoy it.

It's was a very good story, it was interesting but it also teaches you a lesson. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else because it's a very good story and I think lots of people would like it not just because it's set on the ice, but it has some really good interesting bits in it! I really like the characters Harriet and Lala.
