Raven Mysteries: Vampires and Volts: Book 4
Marcus Sedgwick, Pete Williamson
Join the wonderfully weird Otherhand family and their faithful guardian, Edgar the raven, and discover the dark secrets of Castle Otherhand.
It’s Halloween and the Otherhands are enjoying the Annual Pumpkin Hunt. And there are preparations to be made for the Great Halloween Ball. Minty is all a-fluster. Solstice is busy spraying fake cobwebs everywhere. Valevine is in charge of disorganising everyone’s carefully laid plans, and Cudweed seems hungrier than ever and oddly preoccupied with ‘fresh brains’. In fact when Silas, Valevine’s long lost brother, turns up with Samantha, the Otherhands would be well-advised to check out their guests. It’s not long before wily Edgar works out that there’s a preponderance of vampires and not all of them have false teeth. Just when he’s about to solve the latest mystery at Otherhand Castle, the lights go out…

Marcus Sedgwick has such a talent for writing stories. These books are just great, descriptive and sometimes funny. So many mysterious happenings in the Caste of Otherhand.

I love the way these books are always so chaotic because it reminds me of my family! In this book it is Lord Otherhand’s brother coming back which pushes the family into chaos again.

Vampires and volts is a surprisingly good book written by Marcus Sedgwick. The lights first go out when lord otherhand announces that the Halloween ball is to be hosted in the otherhand castle ( the otherhand’s house) . Strangely though, a great number of staff seem to have been drained of blood and killed after the ball. Could it be vampires and volts ? Find out in the book.
