Dandylion
Lizzie Finlay
When the ‘delightfully different, bright yellow and rather scruffy’ Dandylion joins Miss Gardener’s neat and tidy class, chaos and fun follow. But after one messy incident too many he’s told to go home – he just doesn’t fit in. It doesn’t take long, however, for everyone to realise that too much neatness and order isn’t always a good thing and everyone’s desperate for Dandylion to return! At last, Dandylion feels like a wildflower in the right place! This is an empowering story about friendship, diversity and finding your place.

"I started school just like them. I like how they do silly things like gummy worms sandwichs."

It was a little bit boring

it was sad when the other children didn't like the lion, I'm glad when they realised lion was so nice and they all missed him.

I had never read this book before and I really enjoyed the story. I liked it when Dandylion had special sandwiches with chocolate spread, jelly worms and candyfloss in them! All the children liked their class much better when Dandylion was in it. They found out that being different is special.

I think others should read this book because it teaches you to except people for who they are because everyone is special in their own special way
