Cat, Duck and Squirrel live in an old white cabin, with a pumpkin patch in the garden. Every day Cat slices up some pumpkin, Squirrel stirs in some water and Duck tips in some salt to make the perfect pumpkin soup - until the day Duck wants to do the stirring.

My favourite character is duck because he wanted to stir for a change. I like that he wouldn't stop until they let him. He was persistent. I would recommend this to people who like cooking and don't give up.

I really like pumpkin soup, and the 3 friends make the soup together. It was a bit sad when the Duck left but it made me happy when they became friends again at the end.

I liked this book it was sad but then happy again, I liked the end bit when the duck plays the bagpipes. The illustrations are really good.
