Battersea Dogs & Cats Home: Bertie's Story
Eight-year-old Laura is very kind and thoughtful to all animals. Her mum and dad decide that she is definitely responsible enough to have her very own puppy – so take her to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, where she meets Bertie the West Highland terrier. Laura wants to take Bertie home, look after him and make him bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

I was quite sad that nobody wanted Bertie because he's super cute and he saves the day. Also I don't like Leah and her friends because they called him ratty and it made Laura very, very, very upset. It was fiction and my favourite character is Bertie. I would definitely recommend this to someone else.

Bertie the West highland Terrier has short coarse fur. When Leah (Lauras big sister) goes for a walk with Laura & Bertie she meets up with Jack & his gang who are in her year they call Bertie a rat & When Leah sets fire to the curtains at home can this little pup save the day? My favourite character is Leah. I would recommend to a friend.

I love Battersea dogs and cats home collections because I love pets. I recommend this book to all pet lovers especially puppies. In this story I love Laura because she loves all animals even if it was a scary spider. I also love this westie breeds who is called as Bertie because he is cute and this poor pup had a life with his cruel owner.

I think that you should read this book because it is so adorable and as soon as you start reading it you don't want to put it down.

This book was based on an actual dog from Battersea Dogs &CTA's Home. It was really good. Laura adores all animals and helps them whenever she can! She wants to be a vet when she is older. Her older sister Leah, doesn't like animals that much and is scared of the odd spider! (Like me) However, because Laura cares for animals so much, her mum and dad decided she can get a dog. They all went to Battersea Dogs & Cars Home and chose Bertie, a Westland High Terrier. Though when it comes to a stolen wedding ring, it's up to Laura and Bertie to find it! Do they find it? Is Leah eventually nice? Read this brilliant book to find out!

I read this in just over an hour. It was a sweet book to read about Bertie. I have read quite a few of these books in the past - so if you have too - youll enjoy this
