Eight-year-old Jack and his little sister, Annie, are playing in the woods during their summer holiday, when they find a mysterious tree house full of books. But these are no ordinary books . . . And this is no ordinary tree house . . . Jack and Annie find themselves on another adventure - this time they're in medieval England. It's exactly the same as the story book - there's a castle and a banquet and knights on horseback. But when they find themselves locked in a dungeon, Jack starts to wonder if they'll ever get home again . . .

I like this book because I really like medieval castles and here, the author describes a castle in such a way that you would think you are there. The story takes place in medieval England and Jack and Annie have a real adventure, getting trapped in a dungeon. I would recommend all of the books in the Magic tree house series.

I liked this book because it had lots of adventures in it. I could not put it down it was so cool. At the end of each chapter there was a cliff hanger. There was a magic treehouse with magic books that they could travel in. In this book they went to a land with a castle. When they left the castle it was as black as coal but a knight came to the rescue and took them back to the treehouse. Jack was a mane character, he had a sister called Annie. Jack hade a notebook in his backpack that he used to write down important facts about the different places they had been. Annie brought a torch for when it gets dark but it went flat just before they escaped the castle.

The magic tree house is very exciting! I have read 9 all ready. The magic tree house has 28 books! The characters are Annie,Jack and Morgan le Fay. On number 4 there is a surprise. The tree house belongs to Morgan. When Jack,Annie or Morgan wishes to go somewhere they go there.

I loved this book because it is about castles. Jack and Annie had to be brave in the moat because there were crocodiles in it.

I thought the book was very good and I got into it easily. Turns out I read it in 19 minutes! It is a fiction book about a tree house that has books and the siblings who found the tree house can go to the different places the books take them to. My favourite character in this book was Annie who was Jack’s sister. I would recommend this book to adventurous people like Annie and Jack.

It's the second book of the series. I liked learning a bit about knights and castles. I like how each story is different but they follow each other. I would recommend.

I think you should read this book because its funny and mysterious. And you can think about whether you would like to do what they did and if there are really crocodiles in moats! My favourite part was when three men put Jack and Annie in the jail because they had funny names. I would recommend this book for ages 5-10. Enjoy Reading!
