Reviews
Covers much more mature themes than the rest of the series but overall a very interesting and satisfying read. Would recommend to ages 13+

I thought it was a nice book to read. It shows how racism can affect people's lives and how much suffering it can bring them. I would recommend this book to someone else.

probably one of my least favourite of the series but still a favourite book

I loved this book as much as I loved the first one in the series. It was also really interesting to see Callie Roses(Sephy and Callum’s daughters) point of view to life.

Significant storyline development from the other two books. Slow start but comes together at the end.

The reason why I enjoyed reading this book is that it is like that the story will never end and so continues to another book. I would recommend this book to people who have interests in reading books based on justice and equality or for people who like to read Malorie Blackman’s books. I liked Callie Rose the best because even though she is young and may not understand the world she is a very strong-spirited soul who has love and kindness in her heart.

Once again, the noughts and crosses series has blown me away. I don't know what it is about these books, but the moment you start reading, it is impossible to put the book down. Malorie Blackman is such a great author. My favourite character was Tobey because no matter how much Callie rejected him he was still by her side. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a book that they will go back too time and time again. However in my opinion you would need to read the other books in the series before reading this one, otherwise you may be a bit confused.

Really great book, I recommend it to anyone. One of those books you read a numerous amount of times. Really amazing. Never gets boring. Once I pick it up I read it till the end. I could go on for ages about it. Kids will love it, one of my personal favourites. Lie in bed with Checkmate. My idea of a holiday! Lovely characters. I congratulate this book.

It's very emotional and the characters express their feelings very strongly and you can feel like your in the room with the characters because of the description and tension.

it was alright but it was difficult with the constant character changing and large amounts of foreshadowing

I think it is exciting and has a good twisting plot line

A touching story in the Noughts and Crosses series. May not be suitable for younger readers due to its content. Other than that I would really recommend this book.

About Sephy and her child
Anonymous 07.06.2016
Theres a young child who was called Callie Rose has a Cross mother and a nought father in a society where the pale-skinned noughts are treated as inferiors and those with dual heritage face a life-long battle against deep-rooted prejudices. Sephy, her mother, has told Rose virtually nothing about her father, but as Rose grows into a young adult, she unexpectedly discovers the truth about her parentage and becomes determined to find out more, to honour both sides of her heritage. But her father’s family has a complicated history – one tied up with the fight for equality for the nought population. And as Rose takes her first steps away from Sephy and into this world, she finds herself drawn inexorably into more and more danger.
