Araminta Spook: My Haunted House
Angie Sage
Araminta Spook is just like any girl. She likes bats, ghosts, werewolves and vampires. One of Araminta’s greatest ambitions is to see a ghost, and living in Spook House with her aunt and uncle there is a fair chance she will. Then her Aunt Tabitha drops a bombshell: they are moving. The boiler is a MENACE, plus there are a few other issues relating to dust and spiders. Tabitha is not going to take this lying down and devises an array of Cunning Plans. She is determined to stay, and perhaps there is still a chance her greatest ambition will come true too . . .
Reviews
I’ve been waiting for a little while to read this book, which is the first in the Araminta Spook series. I really enjoyed Aunt Tabby as a character, particularly when she collided with the mother that was looking to buy the house. I loved this book as it was very funny!

This book was good and although it started off a bit slow it got interesting fast. Araminta was very brave to go through the secret passage, I would be to scared to go alone. This book has a good message, never judge a book by it cover. Araminta though that the Wizzards where weird and stupid but actually they turned out to be very nice people. I would recommend this book for 8-12 years old and I would rate this book 4 and 1/2 ⭐️

Araminta didn't want the people to buy her house because there were two ghosts living there. She tried to make a trap but they still wouldn't go away.
