One of a series of fairytale stories with an emphasis on the traditional approach, reassuring to parents and suitable to be read aloud to three to six-year olds.

I liked that country mouse went to town and he saw town mouse's house.

This tale sees two cousins swapping their homes and lives for a little while, a holiday from their day to day goings on but what they expected and what they are actually presented with are two entirely different things. I find that there are two elements to this story. The first is showing the differences in our worlds. How one person lives isn't how another does, the varying environments, from the people and what they do to the buildings, vehicles and noises that surround them. What this does is show that it is ok to want to explore, to discover new things.

I like the part where the Town mouse made a funny face. My favourite character is the Town mouse, yes I would recommend this book to others.

Country mouse went to town mouse to see how people live in town. Pipin didn’t like town because he got hurt and Cat was after him. He ran away and went back to his country house.

I liked how they didn't like each others' homes and I thought it was very funny when country mouse nearly got sucked up by the hoover. My favourite characters were the ducks who ate the mouses' lunch.

Town mouse loves noise and he thinks that the country is too quiet but when Country mouse goes to town he thinks it is too loud. They are cousins but happier where they are.
