The Diary of a Young Girl: The Definitive Edition
Anne Frank
Anne Frank wrote her diary whilst in hiding from the Nazis in claustrophobic, cramped rooms in Amsterdam; she wrote of war, the world and of growing up in one of the most personal and moving accounts ever. This edition contains more of her original diary than any other paperback edition.

I enjoyed this book as it showed what Jewish people in hiding during WW2 went through, through the eyes of a young girl. Also, it shows how she managed to stay optimistic through a difficult time in her life. My favourite character is Anne Frank, as she seems like a person I would want to be friends with! It interested me as I wanted to see what somebody living during the war was going through. I would recommend this book.

This book is one of my all time favourite books it had me go through a range emotions, it was only a simple and ordinary diary but I could feel the pain she had to go through all throughout this book .It is such a powerful story of strength through adversity and challenges in a persons life.Just the way a 15 year old girl narrates one of the worst periods in history amazes me,.She had to live in a place they named "The Secret Annex" where her and her family lived in constant threat in Amsterdam for a whole 25 months ,still she kept a smile on her face. She wanted to be live,to be loved, she had dreams, she wanted to explore the world, she wanted to be successful but fate wasn't on her side.Among all of the refuges of the "Secret Annex" only Anne's father Otto Frank which she loved very much came alive.Anne died along with her sister Margot 2 weeks before the Germans surrendered.Anne's father soon decided to publish his beloved daughters story.I recommend this book because it gives awareness to the dark days of the Holocaust and the survivors who's life will never be the same just because of what they believe in.

I really liked this book but some of the book is hard to read as I’m only 10. There are some difficult words to understand. But it’s a good book overall.

The book was very interesting and she seemed as if she was maturing and thinking of new topics every time. It was sad yet exciting at every moment and I am glad I read it.

Diary of a Young Girl is an emotional, moving book that can bring tears to your eyes. It captured me in minutes and I found I couldn't stop reading. The fact that it is the story of someone's life and that everything is real makes it so moving and fascinating to read. My favourite character is Anne Frank because she is such a brave person for a young girl, especially in those hard times. She was proud of her religion and her faith which inspired me. If you like emotional yet interesting books that are based on real-life, this is the one for you. 'How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.'

It was very informative about what life in hiding was like for a 13-year-old gir. The only thing I would say about the book if you are thinking of reading it is that it is not about the war, but of Anne's life in the Annexe.

This book is a real story. It survived world war 2. This book is by a girl. it is her diary of her life. She had to go in to hiding. This book is all her feelings and her love. Her love is peter. A shy and quite boy who finds it hard to make friends. Just like young Anne Frank. Learn about what life was like during the war.
