Pingu longs for palm trees and beautiful beaches instead of snow and ice. He packs fish and bread on his sledge and sets off for a holiday, unaware that a stowaway called Pinga has removed all the food to make room for herself. The book is illustrated with stills from the television series.

Pingu plans a holiday alone in the sun. He organises his transportation and food but will he get there? This story shows a very skilled and a resourceful side to Pingu. I recommend this book.
