Reviews

I really enjoyed reading this book, as it was intriguing and exciting as well as adventurous and fun. It always had me wanting to continue reading even when I knew I had to stop. I am someone who loves adventure books and mysteries to solve, especially reading them. With quite a wild imagination too, I find it fun and intriguing to read about mysteries in books that how ever hard you tried would definitely NEVER happen! I loved reading this book and would recommend it to everyone.

In this book Emily, Jack, Scott, and Drift have to think especially hard because Mystery Man can’t remember anything and give them clues. My favourite character is Scott because he bravely dived into the water to help the man. I would definitely recommend this book to someone else.

This book is one of my favourites from the adventure island series. My favourite characters are Emily and Drift (this is the same for the whole series). I love this book because it is simple but never gets old as I have read this book many times and never got bored. I recommend this book to ages 6+ and all mystery lovers!

This story is about three adventurous children called Emily, Jack and Scott and their dog Drift. It is part of a series called Adventure Island. One day the children see a man, drowning in the sea. They jump to the rescue in Emily's boat and pull him out of the storm tossed water, but when the man wakes up in hospital he can't remember who he is, let alone how he ended up in the water. The foursome take it upon themselves to discover the identity of the mystery man and who attempted to kill him. They slowly gather evidence but then the mystery gets even deeper as Emily, Jack, Scott and Drift realize that the amazing band "Splinter Planet" Knows something about the half-drowned man...

Amazing book! So gripping and tense. Full of humor too. I love how carefully plotted it is so nothing gets given away. You should definitely read this book if you want to be on the edge of your seat, and the relived at the end.
