Dodie Smith’s classic sequel to The Hundred and One Dalmations.

Strange things are happening. Dogs are the only creatures in the world that are awake, and they can communicate through thought waves. Best of all, they can swoosh through the air. Pongo, Missis and the family swoosh up to London to see if they can help sort out what’s going on. Is it Cruella de Vil, up to her old tricks? Or is it something or someone far more sinister? The Hundred and One Dalmations is an all-time classic children’s book. Famously adapted by Walt Disney Studios, it continues to be one of the most popular children’s books long after the author’s death. The Starlight Barking is another exciting adventure by Dodie Smith not just for 101 Dalmations, but for every other kind of dog, too!

I liked it a lot it was great but I liked 101 Dalmation's more. My favourite animal was the Great Dane. I would recommend it to people who like animals.

This book was interesting to read because although shorter than the book The hundred and one Dalmatians the Adrenalin is way more. But I am baffled to read the part when Sirius appears like a dog and all the other dogs see his/it as their breed (huski see it as a Huski /pomarainian sees him as a pomarainian…).

This book is funny and about dogs swooshing through the air whilst everyone else is asleep. The book is heart warming because it made me feel happy. It wasn't my favourite book I have read this holidays as some bits were rather boring. Missis, the mother dog, is my favourite character because she is hilarious and kind. Although I did enjoy it, I am not sure I would recommend this book.

I loved to remind myself of the story of Pongo and Missis but then the starlight barking made me realise maybe dogs don't want to be with us which made me feel like other people should be nicer to dogs that don't belong to them. I liked Lucky the most because he was intelligent and helpful.

The Starlight Barking is even better than 101 Dalmatians and has something in it that makes you "forget" a part to make you read it again and again. This is an excellent book and I would definately recommend it!!!
