The Rescue Princesses are sledging through the beautiful snow of Northernland when they meet Princess Freya. She would love to join them but her father, King Eric, thinks sledging is too dangerous for a proper princess. Freya longs to prove him wrong, and impress her new friends too! Her chance comes when a tiny, mischievous kitten runs away from the castle and gets stuck on a broken branch above an icy pond. Can Freya rescue Minky from his perilous perch? And what will her father say when he finds out she's determined to try? From Paula Harrison, author of the Kitty and the Moonlight Rescue series. With short chapters and beautifully illustrated throughout, the Rescue Princesses series is perfect for readers aged seven and up. Related activity sheets are available on the Nosy Crow website. I loved this story! Freya becomes a Rescue Princess and saves her kitten called Minky, from a small branch over a frozen pond, with the help of her quartz white pendant. This has the magical power of being able to melt snow and ice!

It was a good book, it started off with 4 princesses and they all met at a palace ball. I liked Princess Emily the best because she had very wavy ginger hair and a pretty ballgown, and she was very kind, respectful towards the adults and she only lied if she absolutely had to. I would recommend this book to animal lovers because it involves them saving animals such as deer, from traps laid by a mean old man.
