Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Mary Norton, Anthony Lewis
When the witch next door falls off her broomstick, it’s the start of an amazing adventure for Carey, Charles and Paul.
Her spell turns out better than she’d hoped, and gives the children an enchanted bedknob which whisks them off anywhere they want, even back in time.
Mary Norton, award-winning author of THE BORROWERS, weaves her magic in these two stories, THE MAGIC BEDKNOB and BONFIRES AND BROOMSTICKS.
Reviews
Good book. Slightly different from the film which I watched first. I would recommend reading the book.

This book had a really nice story. I liked the magic and the adventures Carey, Charles and Paul had. My favourite place that they went to was the island of Ueepe (Before they found cannibals!) My favourite character in this book was Paul because he was very funny with his words. I’d recommend to people who like magic and believe in the impossible. Makes me want to watch the movie - see if it’s different!

I liked that it was long so I could spend more time reading it and I learnt a lot of new words. I liked that it was different from the film and was a new adventure.
