Girls FC: the best team for football and friendship It’s her team’s first football tournament and Petra Ward can’t wait to play. But her mum has some bad news: the match falls on the same weekend as her older sister Charlotte’s important riding event. As usual, Charlotte (and the ponies) come first. Petra’s compensation is a sleepover at her best friend Megan’s house, but even that doesn’t run smoothly as Megan invites team-mate Jenny-Jane along too. Petra wonders if anyone will ever put her first.

This book was all about the Parrs U11s (aka the Parsnips), who were training for the tournament. Then Megan(the keeper), and Petra (the defender)fall out at school and it looks like football life is over for Petra. Instead, she’ll go and watch Charlotte her sister, horse-showing. It’s also her mum's #1 priority to watch the show-jumping. All seems lost… but there’s a glimmer of hope. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes girls football or wants to try something different.

This book is so good! I love this book because it talks about horses and football which are 2 of my favourite things. It also talks about friendship issues and sister problems and how they all get sorted out in the end! I would definitely recommend this book!

You should read this book because if you fall out with a friend you've never fallen out with before, it tells you how to sort it out. And of course if you like football!

It gave you tactics about football and explained how it was to start a football team. I think girls that love football should read this.
