It is the year 2051 and Britain is a divided country, deliberately divided by economic and education strategies. Half the population shelters in fortified suburbs (Newtown); the other half resentfully smoulders in sealed-off ghettoes. This is the story of privileged Zoe and Daz, the semi-literate ghetto dweller, whose brother was executed for raiding with the underground resistance movement. When Zoe and her friends go slumming one day, she meets Daz - and it's Romeo and Juliet all over again. But their impossible relationship has far-reaching consequences ...

This book was amazing to read as two people fell in love in a world where it was banned. It truly reflect the term that anything is possible as the pair get mixed up in trouble as they try to fin away to be together. It's amazing to read especially if you just want a short read but the story is amazing. The only thing I can say is that I wish there was a better written ending but then again swindells endings are always different and sometimes leaving you to wish it was written better but it did leave you wondering what happened to the pair and if they ever found peace away from it all including their family.

I'm suggesting it was fiction but apart from that my favourite character from the book has to be Zoe because even though she knows she will get caught or get in trouble, she still goes ahead and tries anyway and then when she's in trouble, she tries her best to cover Daz from getting killed and herself too. It interested me because it was like two whole worlds in one and i love books which have two sides of a story, because it tells me about not just one person's side of the story but two. I don't think i know anybody except me who likes story's like this because nearly everyone likes books with pictures but i think I would recommend this book to my sister's because they always read it when i'm not there
