When Great-Uncle Horace brings back lost and homeless animals from his travels around the globe, it falls to Zoe, and her mum, the zoo vet, to settle them into their new home. She’s good at this, because she can understand what they say and talk to them, too. But that’s a secret! In this first book, a tiny lion cub comes to stay at the zoo and Zoe must ask Leonard, the grumpy old lion, for his help.

Before I even opened the book I thought the book is going to be fiction.It was so good and about a girl who could talk to animals and tried to help them.I love lion cubs and was very angry when the older lion didn't wanted seckond lion around.I would recommend this book to children 7+ because there were some worsd I didn't understand.

I liked this book because the people helped a little lion cub find a new home at the Rescue Zoo. It was heartwarming and nice story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animals.

I liked the part where the baby lion cub comes in on a hot air balloon. I liked the words they used to describe the scene. It’s a very happy story.

I loved that the lions shared homes in the end because they were lonely. The big lion was called Leonard and the lion cub was called Rory. I liked the book. It was realy good.

The lonely lion cub is a fiction story book. The person who I like most was Zoe. The part that I liked the most is when Rory arrived at the Zoo. I would recommend this book to my friends.

It was a really great book.My favourite character was Meep the mouse lemur because he is very funny and is always teasing the grumpy zoo manager.It’s about a girl called Zoe who can talk and understand animals.When her Great Uncle brings a lonely lion cub called Rory to the zoo it is up to Zoe to make Rory happy again.

Zoe can talk to animals and lives in her uncle's rescue zoo. A tiny lion cub has been rescues who is very lonely. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves animals.
