I thought this book was really sweet. I watched the film when I was a bit younger but found the stories in the book to be a bit different. I really loved the relationship between the Brown's and Paddington Bear. I think my favourite relationship was between Mr Brown and Paddington because he seems to get more stressed than the others and sometimes it can be very funny. Mrs Brown is really caring and motherly and the children are really kind and help Paddington to fit in. SPOILERS I really love Mr Gruber and I like that he is so intelligent. My mum took me to his shop in Notting Hill in London and it was nice to see where they filmed those scenes as well as reading about their conversations in the book. I think Paddington is very sweet because he is so polite and genuine and when he doesn't like something he gives that person a 'hard stare' and it teaches us that there are ways to handle difficult situations other than shouting or being mean. I never had marmalade before I read this book and now I have it every morning! I love that he keeps a marmalade sandwich under his hat for emergencies!

I loved this story and reading about Paddington's journey to London and how he met the Browns. Good for older kids as the text is a bit difficult.

My favourite part was the end story with the magic tricks. He broke Mr Currys watch and the mr Curry sat on an egg. I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I did.

Paddington is one of my favourite TV series, so we started to read the books over the summer. Mr Brown is my favourite character as he's kind, but funny and also silly. I'm looking forward to reading more Paddington books as I like to find out more about what he's up to.
