Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Sir Michael Morpurgo, Michael Foreman
The classic Arthurian legend is brilliantly recreated by an award-winning author/illustrator team.
Of all the tales of the Knights of the Round Table, the story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is surely the most magical. Here are thrills and enchantment, chivalry and courage, a challenge and a quest. Its hero is the greatest of all King Arthur’s knights, Sir Gawain. His adversary is the fearsome Green Knight, who rides into Camelot one New Year’s Eve with a challenge that strikes dread into Arthur’s court. For Gawain, it is the start of an extraordinary adventure.

I had already heard the story so it wasn't to special though, it Had some further description in this version; even though I had heard it before it is still a staple of the king arthur legacy.

I really liked this book, but I think it could be improved by having heroines in the story - there aren't many women and the ones that there are don't really do anything. My favourite character is the Green Knight because there's a big surprise involving him. I would recommend this book to people who like knights.

I found this book extremely interesting. I love how you get sucked into the story so quickly! It was written in a unique style. It seemed believable at first, but then.........you meet a dragon and an ogre. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for some mythical fun
