It is a fiction book.I really enjoyed it. My favourite characters are Spud Star and Lara.Spud and Star are the spy pups. They go on many adventures and missions. Lara is there mummy.She was a spy pup before them and they are following in her paw prints.Also the pups are keen to be a spy pups.

A bit scary at the start but gets better at the end. In conclusion i would recommend this book.

Spy pups is an awesome series because of great climax and adventure. You'll get best result if you read them in order (this one last). And should i give a little spoiler, the spy pups (Star and Spud) pass the test to become qualified Spy Dogs like their mum, Lara Cook. And why Cook? It's the owners' surname.

It's very good at showing the dangers of pollution, turning blue flag beaches into black flag beaches. But it's also a very sad book because at one point it makes you think one of the puppies, Spud, has drowned. But then it explains how he survived.
