This is an amazing book, my favourite character is Chi who was the daughter of a rice farmer who defeated the seven headed dragon. It show's the strength of girls in achieving goals.

I really liked the book because it's full of brave girls who are very good at outsmarting their enemies, and my favourite character was a girl named Chi who killed a dragon.

It is filled with stories from all around The world and one caught my eye I really think people should put their head in this book too travel into the myths and legends. :)

It's brilliant! I've got nothing against boys having adventures, but it makes me feel sick when all the "Heroines" do is sit in a corner simpering for help (and finding new ways to put ribbons in their hair). I thought there were hardly any traditional stories where the heroines actually saved themselves. But there are loads of them in this book, and they really are traditional - one of them was originally written in cuneiform! It's fine for boys to read too though, the last story has a boy and a girl as heroes (without the "they got married and lived happily ever after" bit, they were just friends). I really recommend it :)

When you read fairy tales, you see that boys save a girl in trouble, but in this book the girls save themselves with their quick presence of mind and cleverness. this book is wonderful......

Because it has myths from different countries and it may have a heroine of your own culture too! It talks about Telesila, a heroine from Ancient Greece. I am Greek and I liked it a lot!

This book reveals that girls aren't the pretty things that scream and get rescued by brave knights and handsome princes;they are true, courageous heroes.
