High on a misty mountainside, red panda cubs Popo and Ketu live happily with their mama. As the sisters grow, they promise Mama that they will always stay close to home. But while cautious Popo is content to spend her days in the family's cosy treetop nest, bold Ketu dreams of excitement and exploration. So when Ketu creeps off down the mountain in search of adventure, Popo must make a choice: will she keep her promise to Mama, or look after her sister? An action-packed, heart-warming tale of being true to your word and true to yourself, from the creators of the international bestseller The Lion Inside.

I liked the characters in the story and how they looked out for each other. Really nice pictures of landscapes in the story too.

They did break one promise but it is good that they are safe and happy having cuddles.

It is a very good book and it tells you that it is very important to listen to your parents .

There are some really lovely pictures which we enjoyed looking at in more detail and talking about. It also really helps early readers read this independently, as the images act as a fantastic visual aid.

I liked that they ran off and the mountain leopard tried to get Ketu. But Popo got a vine and helped her sister. And the sprinted back to their mother.

It was very funny but the leopard was scary. And when the pandas were frightened their faces looked very very funny. It is a fiction book.

I am a big fan of the books by this author. My favourite is The Koala Who Could but I saw this one in the library and asked if I could borrow it. I asked to read it the same night at bedtime and it's really lovely. It makes me think of adventures with my little sister and how much I love her.
