Read the HILARIOUS books that inspired the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON films! Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is a smallish Viking with a longish name. Hiccup's father is chief of the Hairy Hooligan tribe which means Hiccup is the Hope and the Heir to the Hairy Hooligan throne - but most of the time Hiccup feels like a very ordinary boy, finding it hard to be a Hero. High up in the treacherous mists of the Murderous Mountains, Hiccup and the Company of the Dragonmark are in hiding. The witch's Spydragons are guarding the shores of Tomorrow - but Hiccup is determined to become King of the Wilderwest. Can Hiccup dodge the dragons and steal the King's Things back from Alvin before the Doomsday of Yule? And is there a traitor in Hiccup's camp who in the end will betray them all? How to Train Your Dragon is now a major DreamWorks franchise starring Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett and Jonah Hill and the TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

My favourite dragon is Toothless because he is very naughty . I love this book because it is very exiting, there's a traitor in his group and it's not who you think. I was worried how Hiccup would survive the winter fleshers. This is a fiction book and I would recommend this book to someone else.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. The plot is so amazing, and Snotlout made me cry at the end. He had an amazing character arc. I also like the end as its sad whereas in the other books usually the heroes win but now Alvin has all the lost things and hiccup is presumed dead!!!!! Poor toothless:(

Probably my least favourite of this series but it was still really good! Not as much happened this time but Toothless was still very funny! I'm looking forward to finishing Book 12!

I like this book because it is continuing the story of the previous book - and the one before that! It is very exciting. Hiccup tries to retrieve the 10 lost things he needs to become the King of the WilderWest but his arch enemy Alvin the Treacherous has stolen them and plans to use them to kill off dragons forever. Will Hiccup succeed before it's too late?

The book starts off with Hiccup, Camicazi, Fishlegs and their dragons flying to the aid of a human calling for help. When they get there, they realize the .. Hiccup and his friends search for the Ten Lost Things, but the evil Alvin, the witch Excellinor and th Dragon Furious are all seeking to stop them. How to Betray a Dragon's Hero throws the reader in directly at the deep end with an action-packed, heart-in-mouth opening sequence that exudes relentless energy.

It’s so sad because Snotlout was being nice to Hiccup, and then he was shot in the heart afterwards

This is the second time I've read this book. It's brilliant, like all of the other books in the Dragon series. There are only 48 hours before the new King of the Wilderwest is crowned. Hiccup must try to retrieve the 9 Lost Things that Alvin has stolen from him and be ready to be crowned King. But wait, there's a traitor in the camp... This book was really exciting and also really sad. I spent 10 books loathing Snotlout, but felt really sad at what happened to him in this book. It's an awesome read - can't recommend it enough.

I would recommend this book to my friend Blake. I like Hiccup's adventures and he has a way of getting out of hardest situations like when he was stuck on Norbert the Nutjob's magnificent ship.

It had a brilliant atmosphere and was structured well. My favourite character is the Deadly Shadow because he is cool. I would recommend this book to people who like action, adventure and dragon books.
