I've been thinking about what my teacher said about gangs. She said that it isn't fair to have gangs at school. This book is about a gang of girls called the C.H.I.X. Will they make peace with the Piranhas (the boys' gang) or will they stay enemies? My favourite character is Isolde (one of the hens).

the book wasn't quite for me but in parts it did interested me.it wasn't a good book for me I have read better books but i'm sure other people will be interested and keep on reading it on and on constantly.

I loved this book! My mum found this book for me when I was in the library with my sister. I am so glad she found it as it was a great read! Charlie, Hannah, Izzie and Xa become a gang in their summer holidays. They call themselves the C.H.I.X, after the first letters of their names and the chickens they look after! But when The Piranhas (a bunch of boys that reckon they're better than everyone else) put C.H.I.X friendships to the test, will the two gangs ever have peace or will they carry on with revenge? Read this book to find out!

It is a fabulous adventure between two gangs - the 'C.H.I.X' and the 'Piranhas'. A battle of conflict that many children will love. As soon as you start reading it you won't be able to put it down!

This book is great!!!! it tells you a story of 4 girls called Charlie Izzie Hannah and Xa short for Alexandria. The 4 girls turn into a gang and call themselves the C.H.I.X FOR every first letter in there name I found this book really fun to read and I love the author Cornelia Funke she writes such great books!!!!!!! I really recommend this book for school for home or for even the summer reading challenge this year!!!! because I did still got another 5 books to go!!!! hope u enjoyed my review and it will make u try it because it is fantastic!!!!!!

I loved it it made me want to start a gang my favourite character is Charlie I do feel sorry for her though her grandma is horrid

It is really fun and I like it very much and has inspired me to get into the outdoors more! I advise it should be read by 7-12 year olds.

Have you ever been to the library and thought, what is the right book for me? I did, and kept looking through lots of stories. Then, I spied this book - The Summer Gang Book 1 by Cornelia Funke. I had only read the first couple of pages but knew it was definitely for me. Full of hilarious, suspense filled and some slightly embarrassing moments - try it out and I assure you it will be absolutely amazing!!
