The summer holidays are dragging on and Harry Potter can’t wait for the start of the school year. It is his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and there are spells to be learnt and (unluckily) Potions and Divination lessons to be attended. But Harry needs to be on his guard at all times – his worst enemy is preparing a terrible fate for him. With characteristic wit, fast-paced humour and marvellous emotional depth, J.K. Rowling has proved herself yet again to be a master storyteller.

I have read this book

Goblet of Fire is an exciting step forward. It brings with it new magical creatures like merpeople and ventures beyond Britain to magical civilisations abroad. It also brings Rowling's first addition of sadness, with the death of Cedric Diggory. This represents a noticeable change in her writing style.

Amazing book. My favourite character was Harry Potter (it always has been) and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series - they are the best books I have ever read!

I love Harry Potter. I would recommend reading them in order so you get the full story as this is the 4th book. There’s an exciting and challenging event at Hogwarts this year and somehow Harry is entered in though he is not old enough.Mr Crouch has lots of secrets that need to be found out as well. My favourite character in this book is Winky (a house elf) who is a servant to Mr Crouch.
