Lying awake at night, Tom hears the old grandfather clock downstairs strike …eleven …twelve …thirteen …Thirteen! When Tom gets up to investigate, he discovers a magical garden. A garden that everyone told him doesn’t exist. A garden that only he can enter …A Carnegie-Medal-winning modern classic that’s magically timeless.

I would recommend this to someone else. It was a bit confusing to read in the beginning but made more sense as I read more. The end bit was good, I liked how it ended.

I really loved this book because it's about a little boy who can travel back in time to meet and play with a little Victorian girl called Hattie. My favourite character was Hattie because it turned out that she was still alive in Tom's present, which was a good twist to the story. I would recommend this book to everyone, even adults.

I loved the story because Tom was able to go back in time and play with a little Victorian girl called Hattie. My favourite character was Hattie because she was brave and also was able to see and be interested in Tom. I also liked Tom's first reaction to the garden because he couldn't believe that it was there and so beautiful. I would recommend this book to everyone.

This book was interesting at parts but (for me) it was also a bit boring. I felt this wasn't the book for me. I didn't really have a favourite character. I probably would recommend it to someone who likes older books.

Tom's midnight garden is not only a fabulous story with useful vocabulary, but it is also an interesting TV series, which you can listen to, whilst reading the book. By doing that, you will be able to imagine being in the story, and have fun.

This is an amazing book and it pulls you in when you are reading it. It is like you are inside the book, alongside Tom experiencing everything he is and when you get to the last chapter it is like there is a rope tugging you to read more. Very exciting book and I would recommend it to everyone. ( Even adults)!

It has good describing words and has a thrilling theme. I love this book because it is all about time and going back to the past! A boy called Tom meets people he never imagined of meeting! You will find it truly fascinating!
