This is a book I would recommend for children to read. It’s about a girl called Polly and a bad man called Mr Gum who tries to steal the power crystals. It’s a funny story to read and made me laugh. My favourite character was Friday O’Leary.

this book was fiction and my favourite character was Polly because she was the great hero of this story. I also liked the character, Alan Taylor because this ginger bread men with electric muscles got turned into crumbs which was very sad. This was a very funny story and I think you should definitely read it.

I really liked this book because I liked the character Alan Taylor. I like the way he tells people things. I like being able to read it with different voices.

I liked this book it was funny like the others all the Mr Gum books are about very strange adventures but they keep you reading to find out what happens. My favourite character was Polly because she is funny and says funny things all the time. I would recommend this book.

I thoughtit was good the forces of good regained control and they found the crystals. It was fiction and I liked the donkey because he was really fast. Yes I would recommend it to 8 year olds like me.

I thought this book was funny because for basically the ENTIRE half of the book, Polly goes back and forth to the windmill for at LEAST 7 chapters before Mr. gum comes out. they stare at each other for a bit then Mr.gum starts chasing Polly. My favourite character were the power crystals because they were annoying polly a lot.

It's funny and strange but I enjoyed it as I have all the other Mr Gum books I've read. My favourite character was Alan Taylor who was a gingerbread man! I read this pretty quickly and would recommend it to others.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others. It wasn't very fun and I prefer other Mr Gum books.

Mr Gum is an amazing book! Mr Gum's beard is so rusty and disgusting and rotten and I think that he has a bath after one year, i fact I think that Mr Gum does not even have a bath. If I met him in real life, I would just run away because no-one likes a person who stinks. It is a funny book and I would actually rate this book a 5 star because it is also funny and ( disgusting at the same time because Mr Gum stays dirty) I would recommend this book to everyone!
