Set imprisons Dr Kane in a golden coffin and Carter and Sadie must run for their lives. To save their dad, they embark on a terrifying quest from Cairo to Paris to the American South-west and discover the truth about their family’s connection to the House of Life: an Egyptian temple of magic that has existed for thousands of years.
The pharaohs of ancient Egypt are far from dead and buried. And neither, unfortunately, are their gods . . .

I liked it when Sadie and Carter defeated Set The God of Chaos and then discovered Set's secret name Evilday so they had control over Set. I loved it so I'm going to read the second book.

This was a great book and I really loved it. My personal favorite character is Carter as he was lucky and unlucky at the same time and Sally was funny as well. I think this book is for everyone.

I recommend this book. My favourite character was Sadie Carter Kane's sister. Their dad tries to get their mum back but traps himself in the underworld. The book is also adventurous and a really good book to read.

Yes, I would recommend it to others. My favourite character was probably Carter because he hosted Horus but if not him then Sobek.

I liked the mix of modern and Egyptian mythology. Sadie is my favourite character because she is so good with magic and boys. If I could have any bedroom, it would be one from Brooklyn House.

It was six years ago that Ruby Kane and known were more sad than her family . To make matters worst her to kids Sadie and Carter were separated as they triggered each others magic but that was under the cover that their grandparents only wanted Sadie. The two siblings now treat each other like cousins then siblings but now more then ever they need to be united .because ;the Rosseta Stone is in a million pieces, dangerous Egyptian gods are on the loose, their dad is hosting Osiris, Evil god Set wants to take over the world, their Uncle Amos is captured. that's about it. understand. No not me either.

This is an exciting book, set in the present time, as Carter and Sadie Kane have to defeat Set, the God of Chaos, before the end of the evil days. I thorougly recommend this book
