This book is about a boy called Tom Gates. in this book, it is World Book Day and Tom decides to dress up as an Alien Scale Monster, however when he is at school, his scales on his costume fall off one by one until it reveals a fluffy cat onesie underneath! Then at asses,Bly when they choosing the best costume, Tom is chosen but he is embraced of his onesie so he quickly runs into some mud, roll in and become a mud monster. My favourite character is of course, Tom. I love reading about him. I would recommend this book for ages 8+

It was a great book, with loads of funny moments. His book day costume was hilarious, particularly when he was supposed to be iron man, but ended up in Christmas wrapping paper! My favourite character was Tom Gates ( the main character) because he’s funny! I would recommend this book because it’s a great little book to read, especially for people who like art.

I liked this book because it was interesting to see what someone else did for book day and there was lots of mischief. I liked how Tom talks about Marcus, it's funny. The book was not too long and I'd recommend the series to anyone.

Tom Gates was my favourite character.I remember that Tom Gates dressed up as Alien Scale Monster but then he lost all of his scales! I would recommend this book to someone who likes funny,adventure,comedy , family and friends.

Tom had a costume on and his scales kept falling off and didnt want to wear a biscuit tin on his head. His sister kept laughing at him. They had a book parade at the end. Yes I would recommend it.

Even though this is quite a short book, it's packed full of events that go on during 'Book Day'. My favourite character is Tom, the main character because he wears a half fish, half robot costume that ends up coming off throughout the day. It's a funny story and anyone who likes a good laugh would enjoy this story!
