The third book in Cornelia Funke’s internationally celebrated trilogy – magical, thrilling and mesmerising. ‘I don’t think I’ve ever read anything that conveys so well the joys, terrors and pitfalls of reading’ Diana Wynne Jones on Inkheart Life in the Inkworld has been far from easy since the extraordinary events of Inkspell, when the story of Inkheart magically drew Meggie, Mo and Dustfinger back into its pages. With Dustfinger dead, and the evil Adderhead now in control, the story in which they are all caught has taken an unhappy turn. Even Elinor, left alone in the real world, believes her family to be lost – lost between the covers of a book. But as winter comes on there is reason to hope – if only Meggie and Mo can rewrite the wrongs of the past and make a dangerous pact with death … A thrilling and magical adventure about stories and the imagination they inspire. Cornelia Funke is the critically-acclaimed, internationally bestselling author of Dragon Rider and The Thief Lord. Book one is a major feature film from the makers of The Lord of the Rings, starring Andy Serkis, Paul Bettany and Brendan Fraser! Pre-order the spectacular tale that returns to the world of Inkheart and fall in love with the series all over again. The Colour of Revenge, coming October 2024! 978-1-913696-18-4.

I love how Mo the seemingly peace-loving bookbinder becomes the Bluejay and makes a deal with death...

This is a very adventurous book with lots of exciting twists and turns. This is the third book in the 'Inkheart' trilogy, so definitely, definitely read the other two books first. In the Inkworld, things are not looking good as the evil Adderhead is still on the throne. The Adderhead's sidekick The Piper is threatening to take all the children down to the mines from which they will never return. Can Meggie and her father Mo stop the evil in the land? I would really recommend this book.

I really loved reading this book, the third in the trilogy of Inkheart. I would highly recommend reading the first two books first. Meggie and the team are still in Inkheart. Everything is dark in the Inkworld as Farid is still working for the evil Orpheus and the Adderhead is still immortal and the ruler. Things only get worse when the Piper, the Adderhead's helper, captures the children of Ombra and threatens to send them to work in the mines. Meggie and Mo need to fix all this together with the help of their friends and the adventure never ceases in this exciting book. I would absolutely recommend this, it was a delight reading it.

Its genre fantasy. I really liked the concept of the book and I liked how it created a really believable world that I would wan to visit. It made me feel really connected to the characters and all though it is a longer novel, it managed to grip me the whole way through. I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a longer read which is original and has the potential to become a future classic book.

This is the final book and it's full of suspense and energy that make you want to keep reading it. My favourite character was the Blue Jay because he is courageous. I've recommended these books to my younger sister and mama and my sister is reading these too.
