This book at the start of didn’t really give much information but when I read further in it explained the story but in my opinion it was not a good way to introduce the story . But overall the book was amazing it describes how his had a mental injury in her head and he moved to stay with his grandmother and he found his mothers favourite way so we started taking care of it but it was incredibly interesting

I liked Rio because he was very brave leaving his mum in London and going to California to his grandmother Fran even though he didn't like it. Also, Rio found out that he could hear whales! It is a very good book.

I love this book as there such amazing characters. Hannah Gold also wrote The Last Bear which was really beautiful but very very sad. This book was not as sad and showed a great story between a young person and the natural world.

A beautifully written book, and a wildlife wonder. When Rio’s Mum has to go to a special hospital Rio is sent to live with his grandmother in America. He assumes that it will be really tedious and he can’t wait to go home. But when he meets a girl, Marina, on the quayside, he starts to have fun. Soon he is taken over by the wonders of whale watching the time is whisked away. Full of facts as well as fiction, a great book for all wildlife watchers and budding marine biologists.

It was really good because it told you in quite a lot of detail what was happening in the moment about the character’s life and what it was like to have the situation that he was in.

Captain Snoopy Mystery 08.02.2024
this was a very inspiring book ass it tells you about what is happening in the oceans and that we need to try and change that. I would definitely recommend this book to other as it can show others how I felt to when I read this amazing book but Hannah Gold is also an amazing author and it explains what we are doing to the earth and if we don't stop what we are doing we could make lots and lots of species we did not know about go extinct.

I chose this book because it is part of a series of interesting books by Hannah Gold. She was inspired to write this book when she saw her first grey whale in Mexico with her best friend. The Lost Whale is about long boy called Rio who is sent to live with his grandmother and is worse about his mum and if she will get well. I strongly recommend you read this book!
