It was good but a bit confusing. I wasn’t really sure when anything was happening but the writer (Dan Simpson) really got me to care for the characters but also dislike the bad ones. I would recommend this book to people who like a bit of (clue alert!) mechanics and imagination. To people who like to know exactly what’s going on…maybe give it a miss.

I liked how, in this book, it links the real world to the main character, Bren,'s imaginary world, Furthermoor. My favourite character was Bren's big sister, who is dead, but alive in Furthermoor, Evie.
