I really enjoyed this book! I love the concept of there being "other versions of you" in alternate universes. I also like the idea of a "World Without War" (won't spoil too much, read for yourself and find out!) My favourite character would be Maudie. Her wish for there to be world peace really shows how no one really wants war and conflict and in reality, it's more of just of by-product of misunderstanding. I would recommend this book to someone who is interested in the idea of parallel worlds because I believe this book is a easy and simple way of understanding how it works! ☆★

This book is about a world in the future where there is a world war three about to happen. Two children find a grey portal the takes them to parallel universe that has no war and lasting peace. Then they have to convince the rest of the world to stop the war.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the exploration of different galaxies and the possibility of having the ‘perfect world’. It is set in the future and interesting to see that we haven’t done ANYTHING about problems such as climate change and homelessness. This ‘sideways world’ shows that we can work towards a better world if we show the right attitude and motivation.

I think that it could be real because it does sound pretty realistic. My favourite character was Manny, because he can detect a supermoon .

This is a very good book. Full of good description. Before I opened the book, I thought it would not be interesting. I would recommend it to 8-11yr olds.

I really enjoyed this book as it was written in 2022 so gave little hints to covid 19 and other events that have happened recently in time. It was interesting to find out what things might appear in the future. My favourite character was Wilhemina (Willa or Mina). I would recommend it to 9-13 year olds.

This book is amazing! ~ When Twelve-year-olds Willa and Manny hear a mysterious animal prowling their town, they are determined to prove it is real. So they follow it into a cave one full moon, and get swept into an alternative world, a parallel universe - a world where pollution, conflict, negativity, and war were conquered decades ago. But no one believes them, and with a global war looming in our world their quest for proof becomes ever-more urgent, in a nail-biting race against time. And once you find a perfect world, can you ever leave it behind…? ~ This book was sooooooo good! I picked it up at the library as it was on display as part of the Summer Reading Challenge 2022, the gadgeteers, and because the cover was really eye catching and caught my attention (I LOVEEE all things related to space)! So, without really thinking much, I flipped the book over and quickly read through the blurb. The book looked and sounded interesting so I put it on my pile of books to borrow. I thought it’d be great to try something nee for a change as I usually only stuck to the same authors that I knew and liked, and I never really tried that many new authors. This was the first book I’ve ever read by Ross Welford, and I’m SOOO glad that I did! It was an amazing story about friendship, time travel, magic, and ADVENTURE! I recommend this book to anyone who likes those sorts of things. I could barely put the book down, it was that good! And I finished it in 3 days. If anyone’s interested the book has 364 pages in total, and I’d recommend it to anyone over 8 who’s a confident reader! Happy reading! ~ Xx
