This was a fictional book set in VIetnam about a girl called Hanh and eleven others who struggled in an illegal child labour factory. I honestly loved this book, it was short and snappy, which is quite weird to me because I usually read enormous bulky books rather than ones like these, but all I can say is that it was worth it. This was my first book by Steve Cole and I'm so, so excited to read more! The best thing about this book is definitely the message it puts across. I felt like I was living the characters' lives, forced to work in grovelling conditions and far, far away from my home. This story truly helped me to understand and acknowledge the privilege I was born into. You cannot choose where you are born or who you are born to. Where we are today is by no conscious choice of our own. I recommend this amazing book to everyone, regardless of age. To make a change in the world, we have to first understand and acknowledge the hardships others face. - TheLocalBookworm (me) <3

I found this book at my local library and was very intrigued, I read the information about the book on the back cover and loved it! It is a book based on a true story I don't know if they changed some things about it to make it more descriptive but it was an amazing read and I would definitely read it again
