I really enjoyed this story because it made me want to keep reading and as it was a mystery genre it kept me guessing and wanting to predict what might happened next. I would like to be the main character Layla because she was very determined and persistent in her search to find out what was happening in the town/village. I would definitely recommend this book to others who like a good mystery.

I thought that this was quite a freaky story full of mystery. My thoughts on what I have read are that I didn't expect Mum to be the 'murderer' of Lauren Bellford. But at the same time through out the book I was guessing who this mysterious character was. My favourite character was Izzie because she is a bookworm like me! I also like Izzie because she is very trusting, brave and kind. I would recommend this book to people who like a bit of magic and mystery. I might also recommend this book to some one who like books that are a little bit freaky.
