I really enjoyed this book and it was my favourite book which I read over the summer holidays. This was because I found the story very engaging, with lots of different settings and I found it hard to put down.

The book I read is called the call of wild. The story is about a dog called Buck. He lived in Santa Clara Valley. One day, Buck was taking a stroll suddenly someone kidnaped him. Will Buck claim mastership and defeat his enemies? The character I like the best is Buck because he faces many difficulties, he learns to control his anger and he will protect anyone if they are in danger. Also, he defeated his worst enemy Spitz and he will rise above everyone of his kind. I would recommend this book to others because it tells you when you are in most in need, always protect yoruself and help others in need as well.

This is a book about a dog called Buck who is stolen and given to a man who uses him and a team of dogs to pull his sled in the snow. Buck and the leader of the team of dogs, Spitz, get into a fight because Buck wants to be the leader. Buck wins and then he and his team get sold to another two people who are kind. Afterwards he is sold to four people who are not very experienced in sled driving and the only reason they bought the team is because they want to look for gold. A man called Thornton caught one of the four men whacking Buck with a club and shouted at him to stop. Soon afterwards, the four men and the team went off without Buck and the ice path cracked and they fell to their death. Buck grew fond of Thornton and they travelled the snowy regions together. One day Buck became friends with a pack of wolves and he lives the rest of his life with them. My favourite character is the first wolf that Buck ever met because the wolf was kind.

I really liked when Buck joined the Wolfpack. I would recommend this book to someone who likes animals especially wolves, dogs and huskies. The fighting dogs were a bit frightening.

This was a very interesting story about a boy called Buck who was going out in the mountains to explore. He came across lots of bears, wolves and snow leopards and lynx. I would recommend it to people who like quite a dramatic read.
