On a volcanic island, in the middle of shark-infested waters, stands The Cruel School. The lessons are appalling, the school dinners are revolting and the teachers are terrifying – especially the mysterious Science teacher Doctor Doktur. When Larker is sent to the school, she quickly realises something very odd is going on… something involving Doctor Doktur, a pair of strange spectacles, and a ‘Monsterfication Machine’. I liked Doktur Doktur the most because she is evil and turns all the other teachers into robots. But I rate it 4 stars because it isn’t very good.

Oh my goodness what have I just read... an Amazing book of course. This is such an interesting and sometimes a bit freaky book. This is a book which will make your curiosity fly of the roof.you will find this book like you won't want to stop reading. Love this and I hope you will too. A 5 star rating of course.

Its a really fun book with lots of suprises about a girl called larker. She is sent to the cruel school were she finds out its mysteries.

I would really recommend this book to you!This wonderful book is packed with mystery and adventure!It is by David Walliams and its just great!It's about a little girl named Larker and her friend Spod,Worms the gardener,lots of other children,lots of mean clockbot teachers and Doctor Doktur and Grunt!

It’s strange how you only meet Mega Monster at the end of the story. I like the bogeyman’s head on the slug monster because it has antennae and it’s cute. It’s funny how worms is called worms because he always carries worms in his pocket. I like how worms is illustrated.
