The Tin Forest
Helen Ward, Wayne Anderson
There was once a wide wind-swept place, near to nowhere and close to forgotten... So begins this story that shows how even the most barren landscape can be a home to all sorts of life. Helen Ward provides the poetic text, while Wayne Anderson brings the words to life in this children's story.
Reviews

This is a lovely book where tin and nature grow together with the help of an old man. One day there was a bird it was eating the mans crumbs on the floor, the next day the visitor was gone but then it came back with a another one and they dropped some seeds then it grew. The next day the forest was so colourful and real animals came and it was close to forgotten but everyone wanted one like that.

There was a load of junk and then he makes a forest out of tin, and then he makes a bird, tiger. Instead of junk, he made it into a forest and plants grew, there was a real forest.

I would recommend this book to techers and pupils because it has lots of descriptive writting.
