Lonny is a lifeling. But he pays a price for this gift – by lengthening the creature’s life, he shortens his own. Because if people knew what he could do, Lonny would be left with no life at all…A brilliant novel from the author of The Middler about family, secrets and a terrible power.

If you want a quite peaceful story this is your story it is an easy read u would recommend for 10 year olds. I prefer more extra books. I have only got up to chapter 13 great book not for me though.

I found it very exciting because it is about a boy that can heal people, or save people from dying with one touch. But it makes them older at the time. Also the larger the person or animal is - the older they become after healing.

It was amazing because the lifeling story was son intriguing. It really kept you hooked and it was hard to put down. I would definitely recommend it to someone else.

Another fantastic page turner from this incredibly talented author. It's a beautiful story of love and self-sacrifice - I really don't want to give anything more away - so I'm going to leave it there! Kirsty Applebaum's previous two books (The Middler and Troofriend) were devoured by myself and my teacher friends and this one is on a par with them too! All the books are completely different, but all of them are spell-binding. I really can't recommend them enough.
