Big beast. Big city. BIG TROUBLE. When an Ice Age mammoth finds himself in a modern day city, he's not at all sure what to make of this huge, gleaming forest. Strange birds in the sky, strange beetles on the ground and strange, shouty cavemen. Is he the only mammoth in the WORLD?

I felt sorry for the mammoth at first. I felt happy when he found some friends that enjoyed doing the same things as he enjoyed.

I liked the mammoth when he was blowing his trumpet like crazy and stomping and raging through the streets. It made me laugh that at the end he had a balloon stuck to his tail.

I didn't like it because it's not funny and it really doesn't make sense.

The mammoth was the best character. I like the bit when he found the band at the end.

My favourite character is the mammoth. A very confused mammoth lost in modern New York city. He was sad. He couldn't find his herd. My favourite part is when he found his herd, and he was happy again. Guess who they were? I would really recommend this book.

I enjoyed reading this book. It nearly made me cry because the Mammoth is so out of place, confused and lonely in the big city, But it has a happy ending because after lots of searching the Mammoth finds a new kind of herd. This is a book I would recommend, especially to someone who is moving to a new place and is worried about making new friends.

I thought this book was a bit sad. All of the way through the mammoth was looking for his herd. Even though he makes some friends, he never finds his herd and I think he would be feeling quite sad and lonely.

I liked this book, my favourite bit was when he had a car wash instead of a shower.

I was sad that mammoth was sad but glad he was happy in the end! I loved that the music was a rainbow

Mammoth goes to sleep and when he wakes up he goes to his herd, but they weren't there. He went for a walk to find them. Then he was happy. This is a nice story
