The book is fiction and is a hilarious and exhilarating book, My favourite character in the book is Gertrude, (the ape). I would reomend it it to someone else, definitely, because of all the enjoyabale parts and comedy scenes in the book. My favourite part is when gertrude is parachuting down from the sky.

In this book it is WW2 and young 11 year old boy Eric has a special bond with a gorilla named Gertude. Eric and his great uncle Sid go to the London zoo to rescue Gertude .They have many troubes on the way to saftey like staying away from the police and the evil twin sisters that tried to kill them multiple times. In the end everyone is safe and the prime minester Chambeline is safe . After, for the reward, Eric, Sid, Gertude and Bettey get invited to the christmas party at the palace. I would reccomend this book to people that like reading about adventures and mystery. The age gap I would suggest the book fits in would be 9 and over because there is shooting but it still is an amzing book by David Walliams. This is the favorite book I have read before.

Life. Love. Laughter. These were the most important things in war. So when Eric's only friend is being put down, it's time for the breakout!

Best book I have ever read!! It was so good the first time that I had to read it again!! The story has a humour that not everyone would understand yet I understood every single line!! My favourite character was Bessie (the lady next door to one of the main characters). She has such a funny humour that sort of relates to mine. I would definitely recommend this book to people with a good sense of humour!! So because of that five stars!!!
