Danny Dodo is a detective on a mission. Over the years, hundreds of amazing animals have disappeared. Where did they go? Why did they vanish? It's Danny's job to find out - and he wants readers to help! Danny Dodo’s Detective Diary includes tales about Skye the passenger pigeon; Lily, the snail muse of Hawaii whose shimmering shell inspired poetry; and Mayleen the Baiji river dolphin, known to many as the ‘Goddess of the Yangtze.’ But Danny doesn’t just want to celebrate his extinct friends – he’s going to help everyone get to know some of his endangered friends too.

It was non-fictoin. It was a bit sad as lots of animals have become extinct. I wish those animals were still real. I enjoyed reading it because of the different characters.

Factual book. I enjoyed it because it was talking about endangered animals and how to help them, and I really want to help them. I have it 3 out of 5 because it was very sad because lots of animals in it were extinct and I feel sorry for them.
