Orin Crowfall had always felt a strong connection to Ironhold, the island he had called home for his entire life. The community was committed to industry and everyone worked hard to maintain order and prosperity. However, one day Orin stumbled upon a terrible secret that threatened to destroy everything he had ever known: the island was dying and everyone was at risk. Shocked and scared, Orin knew that he had to act fast to save his home and the people he loved. With the help of his trusty robot friend Cody, he set out to evade the authorities and uncover the truth. It wouldn't be easy, but Orin was determined to do whatever it took to keep Ironhold alive and thriving.

A thrilling book with lots of twists and turns. The person who i liked the most was Cody because he may have lost his wings but he still made a big difference in the story

Crowfall is an amazing book by Vashti Hardy. I would recommend it to readers of Brightstorm. I read Brightstorm in school and loved it! Crowfall is similar in the sense that it is set in a world where they have some very advanced electronics and mechanics. Orin is a boy who has a fixie (which is like a robot for fixing things) called Cody. Unlike other fixies who talk in simple commands of 'Affirmative' and the like, Orin has reprogrammed Cody so she can speak in long sentences (with better grammar than most humans!). When he finds out his island (Ironhold) is in danger, Orin is determined to save his family, to travel where no Ironhold dweller has been before, and to convince Commander Forge to give up on her selfish plans before it's too late... I would definitely recommend Crowfall to ang lovers of Brightstorm, or other lovers of Vashti Hardy's books or anyone, really. It is a proper page-turner... you won't be able to put it down!
