I loved sharing this book. I liked that Cordelia was trying to find her father who was lost at sea. Although she didn't get to find her father by the end it was a great story to read. I look forward to reading the mapmakers.

The book was wonderfully detailed, fast paced and action filled. It forced the readers to engage with the lives of the main characters and their struggles. The book included many unexpected twists and nail-biting moments of anticipation. I especially enjoyed the amazingly detailed and bizzare ingredients used in the making of royal garments.

I really liked this book it was like a world of the past. There was Hat makers, Cloak makers, Glove makers, Watch makers, Boot makers and Cane makers.They all were really impressive. This book was the best book I have EVER READ IN MY LIFE. And I can not wait to read the next book… THE MAPMAKERS

l liked this book because l love adventure stories. My favourite character was Cordilea Hatmaker, because she was kind, adventurive and creative. l would recommend this book to my friend Rowan, because he loves adventure stories, just like me.

I thought this book was very well written and is relatable. It has plot twists round every corner and the tension build up is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the genre fantasy and magic. I love how Tamzin Merchant wrote this.
