Jack's secret summer is a mix of discovery, adventure and a lot of magic. I would recommend it for all ages. You will not be disappointed.

This was a book about a boy who didn't have a mum and his dad was always working so he felt sad and lonely. He made friends with his neighbours called Bruno and Rocko and their dog Dotty. The aunt Nora didn't like Dottie and tied her to a tree outdoors because she broke her hula hoop. They meet a girl who doesn't know her name, and find her name and her father and get super powers; Rocco can fly like an eagle, Bruno has cheater speed, Blossom and Jack can talk and hear animals as if they were humans. They talk to an elephant at the animal shelter and almost get trapped there. I loved this book and want to read book two in November, its called Jacks Secret World.

There is a girl who was the boy’s mum but she was time taken! She was looking for her dad who was thr boys grandad! The boy said this must be all joined together. We dont know what happened next we are waiting for the next booK to find out.

I thought this book was magical and I liked that they were on an adventure together. I would definately recommend this and I have lent it to my friend already.

I think it is cool and surprising. The mystery is shocking. There's lots of powers from the gobstoppers. My favourite character was Rocco because he is cheeky. I would say that others should read it because it is really good.

I really liked this book and I would definitely recommend it...but you might want to read it near or after March 2021 because that’s when the second one comes out and you probably need to read them close to each other because it a cliff hanger. I’m dying to find out! :D
