Enter the world of Agnes & Attie: AGENTS OF THE WILD; fun-packed young fiction with wildlife conservation themes.
When 8-year-old Agnes is signed up for SPEARS (the Society for the Protection of Endangered and Awesomely Rare Species), she has no idea of the adventures that lie ahead with her elephant-shrew mentor Attie (short for “Attenborough”). Operation Honeyhunt sends them to the Brazilian rainforest, on a mission to save an endangered, dance-loving bee named Elton. Will Agnes pass the test and become a full SPEARS agent? Species in danger? Girl and shrew to the rescue!

Set in an adventurous setting, Agnes, the main character embarks on a journey across a forest to help save a rare species of a bee. Meeting many animals and remembering what her parents advised them from a very young age, the story's structure is very simple and is focused on educating children to help the environment. I would recommend it to children who like an environmental setting that is adventurous. I believe that this a great way of knowing more about the environment and also intrigued in what is going to happen next.

It was a very adventurous and I liked the book because it was funny and joyful. It was about a girl who always wanted to find out what happened to her mum and dad and have a pet. Suddenly one day a weird creature appeared on her bed. Once the funny creature had introduced himself he said that Agnes will be looking for her parents and Agnes said yes and as soon as Agnes said yes they went through a secret door that led them to a place full of animals. I would recommend the book to people who like funny story books. The weird creature is named Attie Agnes has to take teats with Attie to become a member of the gang. At the end Agnes becomes a Mayberry of the gang of carers.
